Misleading information, lack of communication and NO DELIVERY

I ordered some coloured pencils from Loot on the 18th December 2017. I was going to order from Takealot, but they were sold out. The 18th was the latest date for a delivery before Xmas from Takealot. Loot claimed that the item was in stock so I ordered from them also expecting to receive my order that week. According to the estimation on my checkout it would take 1-3 working days from dispatch and since they claimed the item was in stock (ie in their warehouse) it should only take 24 hours to be dispatched.

I contacted Loot on Friday 22nd December 2017 following up on my order and what the hold up was. They said the latest possible dispatch date was the 29th December, because the stock was on order from their supplier! Naturally I was horrified as this completely contradicted the information on their website and I had planned to use the pencils for drawings as gifts for Xmas.

Today on the 29th December 2017 I called Loot (after I did not receive a response to my earlier email) to find out what was happening with my order as I did not receive a notification that it had been dispatched yet. The lady (very nice and I'm sure its not her fault) told me that they had not received the stock yet! I am absolutely outraged that after all my enquiries Loot did not even have the decency to notify me of this unacceptable development.

I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone, please use Takealot instead!
