Misleading and False Advertising, followed by pathetic service!

I purchased a cable from Loot, where they said they have 9 available in stock. Only once I had paid for the item do I then get a mail that says they are awaiting stock from their supplier and the item should dispatch by the 18th of December! This is misleading and quite frankly false advertising. I will not be around on the 18th of December therefore wont be able to collect the cable which was intended as a Christmas present. When I spoke to a call centre lady the response is there is nothing they can do and they cannot give me any more information! What kind of a response is that? I run a precast concrete company, if any of my staff were to treat a customer in this manner they would be shown the door immediately! What has happened to customer satisfaction!
