Loot delivers incorrect item
On 9 June 2015 I've ordered the hardcover copy of Stephen King's Finders Keepers book, order CRNM-80-BA30. The item description as per the website and the confirmation mail I've received as follows:<br> <br> Finders Keepers (Hardcover) <br> King Stephen<br> Hardcover <br> ISBN-13: ***<br> Published by Hodder<br> <br> The order was delivered today, 24 June 2015, and to my disappointment the softcover copy was delivered. Going back to the website, the item linked to the order has now suddenly changed from hardcover to softcover as below:<br> <br> Finders Keepers (Paperback) <br> Stephen King<br> Paperback, 370 pages <br> ISBN-13: ***<br> Published by Hodder & Stoughton <br> <br> How come I purchase a hardcover, get confirmation of purchasing a hardcover, then receive a softcover and the website item content changed somewhere in between?<br> <br> I hope that Loot can rectify this by delivering the item as originally advertised and as ordered.
Please accept our sincere apologies that you did not receive what you ordered. We have of course ordered a hardback for you and will send it out as soon it arrives.
We have investigated how this happened and can confirm that the product information that we received electronically and automatically loaded for this title changed. While we have systems in place that will alert our receivers for most information changes, this information changed in such a way that it did not trigger our alerts. We would like to assure you that this is a very rare occurrence.
As we have over 11 million book titles on our site we do largely rely on our systems to catch these sorts of format changes. Unfortunately some errors do slip through. However please be assured that our customer services team will always do there very best to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
