Local Pros Does Not Vet Their Service Providers Properly

I do not recommend Local Pros to anyone seeking reliable services. They claim to connect customers with "trusted home service professionals," but my experience proved the contrary.

Local Pros recommended a company called Taylormade Supplies for installing an electric fence and other security upgrades at my home. Instead of a "trustworthy pro," they connected me with a habitual *****ster who has a long history of poor or non-existent service delivery. This ended up costing me approximately R26,000, as the contractor took my money and failed to deliver any work.

A simple check on HelloPeter (https://www.hellopeter.com/taylormade-supplies) or Taylormade Supplies' Facebook page would have revealed a terrible reputation spanning several years. It is clear that Local Pros does not adequately verify or vet the service providers on their database.

I reported Taylormade Supplies to Local Pros and was informed that they have since removed the company from their database. However, my financial loss remains, and I have had to open ******** and civil cases against Taylormade Supplies.

I mistakenly assumed that Local Pros would only recommend trustworthy professionals. When I raised this issue, their response referred to their User Policy.

Use Local Pros at your own risk, as they do not ensure the reliability or credibility of the professionals they recommend.
