RED LIGHTS PEOPLE! A VERY BIG NO!

First of all. You can claim directly on the UIF website all on your own! Did you know that? I sure didn't! They also have a toll free call centre filled helpful people who can answer all your questions!

If I knew this I wouldn't have been sitting here 5 months later, with no payment! In the first place you can NEVER get hold of these people. You send an email, you have to wait 5 -7 working days for an answer, which in a lot of cases, you don't get! You phone them and the lady who answers the phone tells you that you can't speak with Stefanie, because she is busy, she will get back to you, but she doesn't. I eventually resorted to sending WhatsApp messages, to which I finally got a reply. A reply asking for yet another document needed by the labour department.

I finally decided that enough is enough and called the labour department myself. A very nice gentleman checked my claim and said that a claim was filed with the DOL in September 2019. He stated that no one was appointed to the claim, because of the documents being blurry and eligible. I checked my documents sent to Little ****** and none of them were blurry of eligible, so I am sure the fault is not on my side.

So what happened? Do they not follow up at the DOL? If they had, they would have known about the blurry documents and done something about it. After all, they took my money to do so.... Its 5 months later!

I know they are going to reply here with all kinds of mumbo jumbo about our correspondence and what they ased me for and what not. Luckily I keep everything!

Please do these claims yourself ladies, it will save you time and money you can rather use on your baby....
