Little ****** UIF Claims
I wish I give them less than one star. Little ******s UIF Claims submitted my claim on 1 August 2020 I paid them R660.00. From then until 4 March 2020, I received, requested and unrequested updates from the company stating that: We have followed up on your claim: see below their standard response. As on the department of Labour system your employment history is still not updated due to: The termination date was declared by, however they declared you back on the original start date. (16/08/1982 – 31/07/2020 Retired (16/08/1982- ?? No termination date) which makes this period of employment open /active again and therefore your employment history is still not updated. This back and forth went on for nineteen months. On one occasion I spoke to the owner of the company, when asked if they had a contact with the Department of Labour, she told me emphatically “No.” How can you resolve any of your clients claims if you have no contacts with the department with which you are dealing? Recently, a friend and neighbour submitted her own U.I.F. claim but went to the Department of Labour herself, approved her within days and subsequently she received her first payment. Following her example, I decided to go to the Department of Labour myself, on 18 April 2022 I took the same documents I provided to Little ******s UIF Claims. The official told me to return after 10 working days if I did not hear from them, I did not, I waited a few extra days and went back to the Department of Labour on 5 April 2022, I was told that my claim was approved and would receive a lump sum payment within five working days, On 7 April 2022, I received the lump sum payment from the Department of Labour. The moral of the story is to do it yourself, save yourself time, money, much frustration, and wasted e-mails to your former employer and to Little ****** UIF Claims. It is a little inconvenient to get up early and stand for hours in the queue at the Department of Labour, most staff there are friendly and helpful with two exceptions, achieve success in nineteen days or employ Little ******s UIF Claims and achieve nothing nineteen months later. I will write to Little ******s UIF Claims and request that they return my money, what do you think they will do? Same as before, nothing,
