Bad Service - Absolute waste of money

Hi, So I went on maternity leave at the beginning of October 2017 and decided to get Little ****** UIF Claims to do my UIF Claim. I sent through most of the documentation when I was at work in September 2017, because it would be hard to access scanner and printers while I was on leave. At that time we not sure how to fill out all documentation and it was already so hard to get hold of Little ****** UIF on the telephone she only responded to whatssapp. But since I only made payment for service on the 17th of October 2017 I thought this was the reason. Once I made payment I sent through balance of documentation and pop.The next day I received an email saying some documents that I sent while at work was incorrect and due to restricted access to data I only got this email a week later, she didn't text or call or whatsapp to follow up if I received the email or not. So anyways I sorted that issue and my claim was submitted on the 25th of October 2017. Towards the middle of November after I sent emails and whatsapp they responded to say that the uif office requires letters from my company regarding the merge of two companies. This took me around a week to get but was sent through on the 23rd of November. Once again after I sent through a numerous number of emails and whatsapp message I received an email on the 8th off December saying that my claim was rejected once again due to termination date. I didn't understand so I asked her to explain she responded by saying the company still has me on the payroll system and sent me an instruction to forward to them and resubmitted. On the 18th of December I received an email to say my claim was rejected once again due to the same reason my company still has me on their payroll system. So me really desperate for this money got hold of Little ****** UIF on the telephone this was the second time speaking to her on the phone during this whole process the first was when I required her services. She explained again and said the problem started with the companies merge and two registration numbers but they still have me on the payroll system and that is the response for rejection she will resubmit and put pressure on them as she closes for Christmas. So I decided I really need this money let me go to the uif office in Chatsworth myself. It turns out that my ui19 commencement date is incorrect as I was on maternity leave before and I required a new ID on my married surname before they can even start the process of my claim. So I will only received my uif once I am back at work. Little ****** UIF Claims service was terrible and a was of money. It's possible to get hold of them via telephone.

Good day,

As per the agreement and as per our conversations, we are not employed by your company as a commercial agent to handle their UIF matters monthly and keep them compliant. In such a case as your own your company changed names and had you registered on both companies with the exact same start date but the 1st ui19 was only for 1 of these "companies".

As per this whole explanation above it just boils down to employers not being compliant...

After receiving the letter to explain this, that part of the employment was fixed when we followed up with the call centre.

The only other problem was with payroll declaration's and we provided you with instructions directly from the payroll company for employers to check if they have correctly changed the status / terminated the employment.

Now yesterday you sent us an email saying the ui19 commencement is incorrect?

This is surely not our fault is it? We didn't complete the document. You supp**** us with the document and that is what we have submitted. Once again as per our agreement it remains your responsibility to know about your own employment starts dates with the companies you worked for as we are / were not employed by any of them to know when you worked for them. it is still the responsibility of the client to ensure we receive the correct documents or that the info on the documents are correct.

I refer to insert Carte Blanch had 26/11/17, the main person responsible for clients claims not going through is employers due to the fact that they are not compliant and they are not declaring and sending through the correct information to the Dept of Labour. Unfortunately this is a major problem in South Africa all over in all companies big and small. The act/law requires employers to be compliant and declaring their employees on a monthly basis under the correct entity / company name they are registered an trading under.

Not to jump free from all but due to us not assisting employers monthly with the compliance side of UIF if employment information is outdated / outstanding we cannot be held responsible for this but we do promise to assist our client in submitting and following up to get the employment updated in order for the claim to be successful as the employment history is the MOST important thing about claiming and without a full, correct and correct employment history no UIF claim will be successful.
