Selling expired alcohol

Early last week I bought a certain beer brand at one of the shops in Benoni. It made me terribly sick and I realized that the product expired in August 2022. I visited the shop and requested that they remove it from the fridge. I went back yesterday and at my shock the stock was still in the fridge. When confronting the same staff member I was told that they are waiting for the supplier to collect. I left my contact details and requested that the owner contacts me. No luck so far!! Selling expired food/drink should be punishable as a ******** offense. My good intentions to support the local community was a bad decision. I'll have to revert to the bigger chain stores.
