I was disappointed when I was in Liquor City Soshanguve Plaza on Buitekant Street and they are selling customers Flying Fish Samples. The items are clearly marked not for resale and are displayed in a stand that encourages customers to take one free can. When I took one the cashiers told me it's only for customers that's buying a six pack of Flying Fish or more. I enquired to see where that was stated and they insisted I can't take a free can without buying a six pack of flying fish. I asked to speak to the manager however the lady who presented herself as manager was also very rude and told I can't have a sample.

Now the consumer protection here is blatantly breached. Maybe because the store is in a township and services mainly african customers they think we're ******** and don't know our rights or about the CPA.

The receipt also doesn't have a VAT registration number however the store is collecting VAT. How nice is that. There's not even store address and contact details on the receipt.
