Service plan

I purchased a vehicle that was under an existing 3 year or 60 000km service plan I opted for an additional extension of the purchase plan. The car at the time of purchase only had 10 000km and had 1 year left on the existing purchase plan with my understanding that the additional service plan (paid in full) would take over on expiry of the original service plan.

When I took my car in for its annual service this morning I was advised by the service center that liquid capital would not cover the cost of the service as it doesn't fall under the service plan. I called liquid capital to query this and was advised the extension of the service plan would only kick in on 75 000 km only (I.e. it was not for 75 000kms or an additional 3 years, whichever was earlier) and that this service plan expires after 3 years from expiry of the original service plan (2016/01).

Currently my car only has 32 000 km on the clock so it would never reach 75 000km in this 3 year period prior to expiry. So I have basically paid liquid capital money for a service they will never have to provide.

The whole experience has been incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of money. Surely as a company you should not sell things to people where you aren't even able to provide the service.
