Necessity claim for wiper blades denied because vehicle is not old enough!!

Liquid Capital declined a window wiper claim for my Hyundai Elantra that has 15 000km on the clock with a perished wiper blade that causes impaired vision when it rains. I was told to wait till the car is a year old in July and till then they cannot help me. Wiper blades are a necessity and not a luxury , also entering Autumn and Winter which are rainy seasons, when I asked the consultant what do I do in the interim he told me he does not know, but they will not authorize a wiper claim till July. For the car premium paid monthly, this on the second vehicle being financed through them and the very first claim for a vehicle that is 8 months old I find this reasoning pathetic!
