5th Year service denied on 5 year Maintenance Plan - Liquid Capital

When purchasing my KIA in January 2013 I was offered a Maintenance Plan upgrade. 5 years (60months) Up to 60,000km – whichever comes first. At R10,000 for the contract I thought it was good value and agreed.

The service was good over the years. I was happy every time. Then yesterday the final year service was due (5th service)

Then LIQUID CAPITAL came with this creative and colorful story: You only qualify for the number of services as multip**** by your km service interval maximum provided it remains below your contract km maximum. In other words. If I drive very little (current ODO at 22,500km) and I have to service the car once a year (15,000km or annual service minimum) then your service counts as an ODO meter reading of the Service year X your km interval. So that means your first-year service equals an ODO of 15,000km (1 x 15,000)

Your fourth-year service then implies an ODO reading of (4x 15000km) 60,000km - which in effect then makes it your last service!! (60 months or 60,000km – whichever comes first…)

The fact that you are still within your Maintenance plan date (19 Jan 2018) and still within the actual 60,000km limit (Current ODO only 22,500km) means nothing! *** Nowhere in the contract does this weird approach or angle get referenced or imp**** ***

5th service denied – I had to fork out myself.

I was about to renew my Maintenance plan another 2 years with LIQUID CAPITAL and also my Paintech scratch policy, but clearly, they are presenting miss-leading and false value in order to get people to sign Contracts that simply does not provide the service or value as depicted. BE WARNED!
