Link-Up Internet Vryheid. • As with other reviewers of Link-Up Internet I find their Homepage misleading. • My complaint started after seeing that I'm paying R704.12 for a 4Mbps month-to-month agreement after my 24 months contract expired. • No renewal was offered. Told it was my responsibility. Later in email from branch manager; "You have signed up for a special that is aimed at new clients we do on occasion offer existing clients the option to sign up for the reduced rates" • I signed up for contract on the 18th of October. Stating that I will be home from 10:00am for the next 3 days (installation period). • No installation, equipment or activation. For which they are claiming a cancelation fee after they failed to install up to when I enquired again the 5th of December. • In meantime I was charged the same price of R704.12 for November and December. While the description stated the details of the new contract. • I made it clear that I want to cancel but was offered a fibre connection, of which I compared the pricing and found that even with the credits for the two months would cost me more than other suppliers. • I declined the offer and submitted my cancelation clearly stating my disappointment in their breach of contract. • I then received an email with a voice recording of me agreeing to the contract but asking for details in writing before submitting the application on the 18th of October. • Now I am still being charged a cancelation/clawback fee for installation, equipment and activation, of which nothing was done until my enquiry and request to cancel. • I am now supposed to pay a fee for cancelling a contract of which they were in breach. This whole dispute is riddled with additional issues in their terms and conditions (that needs a spell check, more than my grammar), promotional content, and service descriptions that in no support their argument. I notice other reviews complaining about similar problems in other Link-Up Internet branches. Unfortunately just about all ISP have Terms & Conditions that suit just themselves.
