LilyCo Designs
Based on recent customer reviews, LilyCo Designs is described by brides and wedding parties as a business that takes payment upfront but repeatedly fails to deliver bridesmaid dresses, pyjama sets and table linen within its advertised three to six week lead times. Customers report missed shipping dates, unverified tracking numbers, unanswered calls and emails, and refunds that never arrive, with several escalating to the NCC, SAPS or small claims court. Where garments did arrive, complaints centred on wrong sizes, uneven stitching, incorrect colours and unfinished hems, though packaging and fabric quality earned occasional praise.

DO NOT ORDER FROM LILY CO!!!!! We ordered pajamas from lily co in april this year. We measured ourselves using the measurements on the site. When the pajamas came back a month afterwards it was the wrong size and we had to send it back in the very beginning of june. We were then promised that it would take about a week for us to get the replacement pajamas in the new size. Since then, when we asked her for feedback, she just kept saying next week next week. It is now the end of July and we have been waiting more than a month for our pajamas. Now the lady is ignoring our messages and we are receiving no feedback on when we get our pajamas. The feedback and service is terrible. You wont get your things do not order from them

Extremely disappointing experience with Lily Co Designs I placed orders with Lily Co Designs in March and April 2026. At the time of placing my orders, the company clearly stipulated a 4–6 week turnaround time, which I accepted when placing my orders. After approximately two weeks, I followed up because I had still not received a collection date. I was asked when my function was, and I confirmed that it was 3 July 2026. I was then told that I could collect my order on 19 June 2026. The collection was then postponed due to the short work week for the company(because of the public holiday). After that, I was informed that the owner’s grandmother had passed away and that she had to travel for the funeral. However, what followed was a constant rescheduling of collection dates and very frustrating communication. When I eventually went to the store to collect my order, I was told by other businesses in the area that the owner had not been there for approximately two weeks. Regardless of the circumstances, I was left without my dresses and without a clear or reliable collection date. By 2 July 2026 — the day before my function — I still could not collect my dresses. At that point, after months of delays and repeated changes to collection arrangements, I had no choice but to request a refund. Today is 1 September 2026, and I am STILL waiting for my refund for my rosette dress. I have repeatedly followed up regarding my refund, only to be told that the matter will be “escalated to management”.I still have not received the money owed to me.

I paid R1,175 for brides**** dresses on 3 June and was told they would be shipped on 17 July. I still have no dresses, tracking number, or proper communication despite numerous follow-ups and a formal Letter of Demand. What is especially frustrating is that they continue responding to new enquiries while ignoring my paid order. I previously received excellent service from LilyCo, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Please take caution when looking for dresses with this company.

WARNING: THIS IS A COMPLETE ****!!!!!!!! I placed an order with them Feb 6th 2026, after they had been in communications with me and had sent through fabric samples. My fault entirely for not first checking Hello Peter. They promised my 4x brides**** dresses would be delivered mid May 2026. Come May, all the excuses started coming out. First, there was apparently a delay that set them back to beginning June. Thereafter they apparently had a funeral. Thereafter they had "lost" my order. Thereafter they falsely "shipped" my dresses with no tracking number and no courier company. I had to call and message them insistently to get a reply, to which she admitted to not starting the dresses. She asked for one more week. Again, I should have known better than to trust people so openly. One more week came and went, and I never heard from them again. They took R2250.00 of my money that I will never get back. When trying to ask the bank to reclaim this money, they said it is already outside the 90-120 day window period in which they could try to reclaim. This is why she kept making delays, as she knew there was a window period where the money could try to be reclaimed. I have reported their Facebook page multiple times but FB doesn't see anything wrong with their page. I can see she is now promoting that she makes wedding dresses, which is just another part of her ****. She apparently hasn't been to her dress studio in over a month. Her name is Veronique Peterson/Varonique Pieters based on the information I could find. She apparently has multpile cases opened against her but nothing is being done about it. I am appaled at people who can ***** other's hard earned money so blatantly and without care. Shame on you.

I do not recommend LilyCo. We placed our order despite seeing the negative reviews because we wanted to give LilyCo the benefit of the doubt. Initially, the service was excellent, and we received our order quickly. Unfortunately, the sizing wasn't correct, so we returned the items, which she confirmed she received on 10 June. Since then, the communication has been extremely poor. We have received little to no updates, and whenever she does respond, there is always another excuse and another promise of "next week." We eventually agreed that our replacement sets would be shipped by the following Wednesday. When Wednesday arrived, I once again had to follow up because there had been no communication. I was then told that I would receive a tracking number once the parcel had been collected. After that, there was complete silence. What is frustrating is that she continues to actively post on social media and advertise to attract new customers, yet she cannot follow through with the customers she already has. In my opinion, it is completely unacceptable to continue taking on new orders and promoting your business when existing customers are still waiting for orders, refunds, or even basic communication. It is incredibly disappointing and, quite frankly, pathetic. The most disappointing part is that we genuinely believed the negative reviews might not accurately reflect the business. Unfortunately, we now understand exactly why they exist. They were not exaggerated — they accurately reflect what happens when something goes wrong. My wedding is now around the corner, and I have been left in an impossible position. Half of my brides****s already have their sets, so I can't simply order elsewhere without spending even more money. Despite this, I have neither received my replacement order nor been given a refund. I would strongly advise anyone considering ordering from LilyCo to think twice. My experience has been one of poor communication, endless excuses, repeated broken promises, and no resolution. I took a chance despite the bad reviews, and I now regret that decision. Save yourself the stress and order from a business that values its customers, communicates honestly, and honours its commitments.

I am extremely disappointed with the service we received from LilyCo Designs. We ordered six brides**** dresses in three different colours, but only three were initially delivered. After numerous follow-ups and a great deal of frustration, we had to threaten legal action and involve the police before the remaining three dresses were finally delivered. When the dresses eventually arrived, they were incomplete, as the belts shown in the product photos were missing. In addition, two of the dresses were made in the wrong sizes, despite the correct measurements having been provided. Unfortunately, the quality of the workmanship was also very poor. The stitching was untidy, the necklines were not centred, and the shoulder sleeves were uneven and visibly mismatched. The dresses looked rushed and did not match the standard advertised. Planning a wedding is stressful enough without having to chase suppliers for orders and deal with quality issues upon delivery. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend LilyCo Designs and would caution future brides to carefully consider their options before placing an order. Very disappointing experience overall.

If I could give a 0 review, I would. We ordered 6 brides****s’s dresses. Two were delivered. Upon enquiry we were sent *****ulently completed CourierGuy notifications of postage of the others. After much complaining, even threatening to involve the SAPS out of desperation, we received the rest of the extremely badly made dresses: the sizes were wrong, there were no seams to let out, no zips, no “pylnate”, the one neck was cut skew, they were different lengths and one dress even had a sleeve sewn on back to front. We had to have one dress entirely remade. Another brides**** who arrived from overseas on rhe morning of the wedding had to have her dress cut open under the arms so that she could at least get it over her head and had to keep her arms close to her sides all the time - she took it off immediately after the church ceremony. Seamstresses that we had to pay extra to save what could be saved, were aghast at what they saw. How can the unconscionable owners do this to people who are already incurring huge wedding cost. Not to mention the unbelievable stress. No communication (except lying about postage and readiness), no answering phone calls. Close tour business. You cant sew. How many more innocent people are you going to dupe this way.

I ordered dresses from LilyCo @lily_co_za and paid R1620 on 14 April 2026. Sizes sent 13 May. Was told production is 5 weeks = delivery ∼17 June. On 1 June I paid another R400 for ties after they said “everything coming along beautifully, give us until next week”. Deadlines missed: ∼10 June, 17 June, “this week” of 22 June, 23 June. Today is 24 June – still no dresses, no tracking, no photos of items.22 June they emailed about family loss and can’t ship. 23 June I asked for refund by EOD. They rep**** “won’t be accepting calls” and then “next week” again – that’s the 5th deadline. They refuse to give management contact details or refund. 70 days since first payment. I’ve now opened SAPS ***** case CAS and NCC complaint. Evidence: I have all WhatsApp chats + email. This appears to be a pattern – I’ve seen other women commenting same issue. If you’ve been affected too, email NCC *** and open SAPS case. CPA Section 19 gives right to refund for non-delivery.
