WORST EXPERIENCE AT LIFE PEGLAREA RUSTENBURG

To whom it may concern

My stay here at this hospital started Tuesday evening 8 August in the ER. From being jabbed in my wrist for a drip blood flowing everywhere and not even getting cleaned properly, to staff snickering and laughing and make underbreath comments. I get told that the dr does not know whats wrong with me with his "eager to help" attitude and that I'd be admitted under suspicion of meningitis. Before that though i get sent for a CT scan-reason: I WAS NEVER GIVEN ONE. On to Ward B we go. Here I kept telling staff the drip in my wrist hurts, the pipe keeps pinching. Someone please help. Nada, nothing, just ignoring the patient. Wednesday morning spinal tap gets done. Two nose swabs. Later that day i get told another nose swab needs to be done Because the first was wrong. And apparently an HIV test that Ampath has to inform me about. Not my dr. AMPATH!!!!!!!. Still no drip change after telling staff multiple times throughout day. I also informed them that the Television only picks up 3 channels. All the others dont show. So wasted money buying earphones to watch cartoons and sport.

FINALLY WEDNESDAY one of the night staff changed the drip.

Thursday Lumbar punch is clean but still no answers draw more blood do more test **** the medical aid. Ask for water in the morning- recieve it at lunch. Make another attempt at notifying about the tv. No luck. At dinner time I find out that I'm actually supposed to order my meals. WHAT- I was never asked. No wonder I kempt recieving food I dont eat.

At this point I tell the staff that my medical aid has only approved admission untill the tenth. No new approval has been app**** for. So currently furthermore I am in hospital without approval from my medical aid.

Friday morning- No news on blood results, get told im getting gastroscopy, ok.... started getting burning in my ****** from all the antibiotics. Had to ask 3 times when will i go in to theater and when will I receive theater gown. At the time the theater nurse was here to collect THEN the day staff get rude and try to tell me to hurry up. Get out of theater mind you its close to visiting time. Recover call Ward B to come collect. No one comes to collect FOR 30 MIN. missing half an hour of visiting time with my daughter. Telling staff the frip im my arm burns and hurts- no it flows its fine.

Saturday morning -getting woken up at 3:30 buy cleaning staff loudely cleaning the room. And at 4:00 chased from the bed ao bedding can be changed. AT 4 IN THE MORNING?. Still complaining about the drip. No body assissts. Poor enroled auxi****y nurse comes to remove, does not know how to do it gently, only to see that the plastic needle was bent INSIDE MY ARM THE WHOLE TIME. But hey if it flows it goes. Still no one has come to put in a new drip for antibiotics. Because patient care doesn't matter if you're not of a certain stature I assume.

This has been the ABSOLUTE WORST experience at any hospital ever. From my arrival here I have not had one pleasant experience. I hope that neither me nor my family ever have to come back here. I have complained asked nothing. I don't get answers back from test being done on me. I have informed the staff and Dr that there is no documentation from my medical aid approving the extended stay. I have cried about painful drips and needed to threaten to take it out myself. People taking vitals don't even take temperature correctly. Instead of in the ear they take it on the outside of the ear. How is that supposed to be accurate???????

Im so disappointed in the quality of care I have recieved and I will make sure I tell everyone I know.
