Wilgers emergency/dr's are a joke.

The emergency room and doctors at Wilgers hospital leave much to be desired. I went in with obvious stroke symptoms but because of my age (26) the dr on call at emergency did not take me seriously and told me I was having an anxiety attack. Even after the whole of my left side went completely numb the dr still wanted to send me home at 10pm, I couldn't even walk so my mom refused to leave. The dr did not check on me again the whole of that night. I was afraid I was going to die because the dr didn't believe me or take me seriously!

The next morning I was taken to see a neurologist who also told me it must be anxiety but sent me for an MRI anyway. That afternoon (24 hours after the stroke) he plainly told me "so you did in fact have a stroke" and left without any explanation or more information. I had to schedule a GP visit just so that a dr could explain what the report said about the kind of stroke I had.

It was a very emotional and traumatic time and I am still dealing with the physical consequences as my body will never be the same again. Many other things happened during my stay at the hospital that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I will always think twice before going back to Wilgers again.
