Very disappointed with you Welgeheuwel Life Hospital

I have been using Welgeheuwel Life Hospital for more than 10 years. I have also even taken my family members there and paid in cash. I was admitted at the hospital in December 2024, the specialist doctor that was supposed to see me was not available and there was another specialist standing in for him. I met with the standing in specialist and he charged me reasonable amount that was paid by the medical aid.

The specialist responsible did came to see me the following day in the morning, he said that he just came to inform me that he is available. He came later in the afternoon and discharged me at the same time. Now when the bill came the charge was almost double of what the other specialist charged and the medical aid only paid the scheme rate. On top of that he charged me for unscheduled or emergency consultation.

I have tried several times to find from the hospital to explain what the emergency or unscheduled consultation is for. They have just ignored my query that I submitted via their website. I have also tried to reach out to their group CEO who didn't respond to my message.

I am done with this hospital that I have trusted with my life for years. I will never set my foot there again. There are other hospitals nearby, I chose them because I thought they provided a better service.
