Tragically pathetic outpatient services
Tragically pathetic outpatient services without fail at Life Crompton Hospital. Been there twice, in the course of two years and have experienced the same problem. The first time my 2 year old was vomiting continuously and had an incredibly high fever. The second time my husband was involved in a car accident and we needed him checked out (car completed wrecked but he had minor bruises). Told us we have no medical aid funds both occassions, very cold mannered beginning with the receptionist down to the nurses. My husband was asked for his ID which he lost in the wreck in order to be assisted. We drove to Life Westville Hospital on both occassions, we were told we do have funds both times and were assisted by empathetic, polite and efficient staff (20 minutes away from home). Even government facilities treat people better than the staff at Life Crompton Hospital. When working in such environments people skills are key, stop employing inadequate people to handle our health matters Life Crompton Hospital. No matter how injured you are, you'd rather die on the road side or suffer through the pain than to go to Life Crompton Hospital, you are as good as dead there anyway - it's a long road to seeing the doctor or getting any medical attention whatsoever.
