The worst hospital I have ever visited

The Life Carstenhof hospital has the worst emergency unit I have ever experienced. Took my child in when he bumped his head and had major swelling on the forehead. It took us atleast 45-50min to be assisted, that was also because I complained about the service. The Dr saw him and referred him for a CT scan. 45 min to an hour later we still haven’t had the scan, when I complained that’s when they told me that the medical aid cannot authorise because it’s at night and they have closed and I need to pay cash for it. To the best of my knowledge, the healthcare provider in an emergency situation should help you, then claim from the medical aid, if the medical aid refuses to pay, that’s when the liability falls upon the patients shoulders. I told them that I want to leave and take my son elsewhere, they said I must sign that I am refusing treatment, how when they are the ones who literally refused to help me? They refused to give me basic healthcare in an emergency situation.
