Terrible service
LIFE ST GEORGES HOSPITAL
Good day
I send you this email with huge concern with the terrible service we have experienced with your ER service. 12th of June 2024.
My Aunt Estelle Myburgh's husband fell at home. He has a history of heart failure. He had clear visible trauma from the fall. He had a head injury, bruses on his arms and he complained about discomfort on the right side of his chest. Long story short he was transported via Garmed to St Georges Hospital. They had to wait in the ambulance from 17:00 to 18:00 because there was no bed available in your ER/Casualty. From 18:00 to 21:30 Mr Myburgh waited to be assisted. They only took bloods from him and did a ECG. My aunt had to request something for pain aswell. After numerous back and forth with the doctor he was only admitted at 21:30. 4 and a half hours because according to your nurses there was only one doctor on duty. ONE DOCTOR IN A BUSY ER???? There was also a baby (Surname was Delport) of 3 months in clear distress due to a respiratory infection and or flu.
This is terrible service from a private Healthcare institution and this is unacceptable considering you ask premium fees for your service. (Bloed geld as we would say in afrikaans) What happened to helping the vulnerable first. Babies and old people?!? People might as well go to government institutions thats how terrible this wait was. What has happened to the once best hospital St Georges. You saved my husband 16 years ago and the service was exceptional. What we experienced tonight was nothing short of terrible.

My uncle is now in the cardiovascular unit of St Georges Hospital. We had to leave work today to go and wash him because he ****ed himself and the staff at St Georges couldn't care less to clean him and replace his bedding. You guys are pathetic.
