Taken advantage of in Hospital trauma unit

Very disappointed and disgusted with my experience here. I am still awaiting on response for a query that happened in April. I came to the emergency unit because of having pain whole day on my lower abdomen (the appendix side). They took samples of my urine, a few minutes later my blood. Then they wanted to do a x-ray to see if my appendix is swollen. After the viewing the x-ray they said the actually can't see if there is swelling they will have to do a CT scan. I am in my 20's and it's my first time at the trauma unit. I do have medial aid through my company and whole time I asked the staff, how everything will be charged as I do have medial aid and don't want to be slammed with a big bill from the hospital. I was scared something could happen with me if it is my appendix so I agreed to the CT scan out of fear for my life. Anyways.. the doctor came back and said there is nothing wrong with my appendix, however he does recommend I go see a gynaecologist because it's common to have cyst on my ovaries at my age. SO WHY was all these expensive steps taken if they could of just done an ultra sound to see if I maybe have a cyst or if something is up with my appendix. They took over R5000,00 of my savings and I still have to pay more than R2000,00 to the hospital regarding claims the medial aid doesn't want to pay. THIS IS RECKLESS from the hospital to take advantage of a young girl fearing for her life. I will not recommend this hospital as they don't have your best interest at heart. Just felt like a money making scheme. Now I can't even get a response from the doctors as I have been phoning and emailing every week and nothing! Shame on you.
