Stay away from Roseacres hospital

My 83 year old mother had to have blood tests done and we returned to Roseacres life hospital, where she was also admitted 2 months previously, after breaking both bones in her leg. As she does not have a medical aid scheme, we paid cash for the last admission, and was prepared to do so again for the blood tests. According to the her doctor she was to be admitted for 3 days for the tests, which I was prepared to pay a deposit for and the balance during and, or after completion of the tests. On our previous visit the charge amounted to over R65 000, which was settled immediately. Reasoning that the same procedure was acceptable, and not knowing what blood tests would cost, I again offered to pay a deposit and settle the account on completion. This time however, we were treated like ********* and my mom was refused admission without a payment of R18 000.00 in advance. Not even offering to pay the very next day would convince the "accounts manageress" to get my aged mom admitted and seen to. Well done Roseacres, I will now go out of my to advertise your "willingness" to help the sick in times of need.
