Shocking treatment at Life Flora Clinic

I recently had a lumbar fusion at Life Flora clinic. My experience in the surgical ICU was absolutely terrible. Some of the nurses came into the ICU wearing their jackets and beanies which I believe were supposed To be left at the entrance to avoid possible contamination. The way I was treated in the six days I endured before going to a normal ward was beyond shocking. I had the same experience nearly two years ago when I had a neck fusion. I was so terrified to go back there that when my surgeon told me that I needed a lumbar fusion, I didn’t have the surgery for a year until it became critical. I even phoned the head nurse of the ICU to tell her that I did not want the same nurse looking after me as last time. She assured me that she would make sure I was looked after. What happened: I didn’t see her until my fourth day and she did allocate the same nurse to me. The night nurse was even worse. God forbid I need to go back there. It was more like a torture chamber than an ICU. At one stage my blood pressure went down to 59/39 and the machine started making a noise to alert the staff. It took about 5 minutes for her to come to my aid. Last time I complained to the manager of Life Flora and nothing was done. Be warned community. It’s not a nice experience to go through.
