relatives/medical aids should know this

29/01 - 05/02 staff not using correct sterile/aseptic techniques- first incident happened in ward -preparation for catheterisation; other incidents in high care, same done by different staff in high care, seems like common practise; in ward - observed how most apply blood pressure cuff incorrectly-they do not know where ART is on the arm????-led to incorrect reading for blood-pressure on myself; staff-member with cold - contaminating everything she touched by not cleaning hands after used tissue. <br> Faulty equipment - led to injury to recently operated on patient with knee-replacement, myself slightly hurt by this piece.<br> Linen - white blankets - some in tatters at seams - looks bad! one expect better in private hospital<br> Dust on blinds in room, if one window looks like this all must be this dirty. <br> Air con blow - middle beds not protected and blow straight on face caused burning of nasal airways - had to keep linen in front of face to prevent getting sick. If this happens only for a few minutes its OK but this is 24 hrs for 3 days!
