Pt with cover neglect

hi there, <br> I am a medical broker that sells medical aid cover. <br> One of my pt's were very sick last night and their blind daughter and partner took her into your facility only to be turned away and referred to Steve Biko...?... <br> After medical aid cover was produced as well as confirmation from the medical aid - the feedback to the daughter was that she had to put down R 40 000... And she had to sign documentation to the fact. The client has a swipe limit of R 4000 on her card... But this was refused. The auth is currently pending at the medical aid because it is a weekend and this is the second admitting for the same condition in 24 hrs.... The nursing staff at the hospital should know this by now. ...... <br> It is my concern and my perception that pt's are perceived by their appearance and then decided to help or not.... My client borrowed money from her church to pay in R 20 000 last night..... Something that is unnecessary and uncalled for ...... I demand that the money is paid back to the church as well as apologized and the staff given warnings or disposed of... This is degrading to say the least..... As well as discriminatory...
