Pathetic Telephonic etiquette - Dalview Clinic, Brakpan

I would just like to express my disappointment in Dalview Receptionists. I have been trying to get through to Surgical B (Covid ward) multiple times today and in the past, sometimes I am lucky and I get through to actually speak to someone.

Other times (most of the times), I get transferred there, I can hear the person pick up the phone and before I can say hello the put the phone down. Or I say Hello, hear chatter in the background and they put the phone down again.

This is incredibly frustrating, because how is one supposed to find out how your loved one is doing or even to get vital information through to them, if you cannot get through?

Must one drive to the hospital each time you want to talk to them? We are in the 21st Century where telephones are a real thing.
