Pathetic and useless - Mount Edgecombe Hospital

My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and was admitted to Life Mount Edgecombe Hospital on Thursday 09/10/2025. After the surgery, she was in a lot of pain and didn't get any assistance from the nurse when she needed to go to the bathroom. Also she had fever which the nurses did nothing about. It was only on Saturday that more blood test were done to check why she had a fever. Due to the fever and sweating her pillow was damp. She requested twice for the nurse to change the pillow case which never happened. The beddings were supposed to be changed every day but sadly this was not done. I went to see her on Sunday and she showed us the pillow which had black mouldy spots due to the dampness. Also I was informed that she was going back to theatre today because the wound turned septic. The nurses did not check on the wound. This is absolutely disgusting that the sick have to go through all this. These nurses take an oath to care and look after the patients but they think that they are doing the public a favour. People are not staying at the hospital for free. They are paying huge amounts towards their Medical Aid so they can get the best care. Mount Edgecombe Hospital you guys are really pathetic and disgusting. For a private hospital yourll have really dropped your standards. Yourll have absolutely no passion for the job that yourll do and no compassion towards the patients that are sick and needs your help and care. Yourll don't even deserve one star but I had to give yourll one in order to write my review. Pathetic and useless.
