Paediatric ward not parent friendly

My child was recently admitted to Rosepark paediatric ward and I had to sleep in the hospital for 2 days. I am a medical doctor in the state and thought that private would treat their patients better.<br> There are very uncomfortable seats/ stretchers for mothers to sleep on at night. They are old and impractical for sitting. They fold up in the day to uncomfortable seats. (when my bed had not been folded up in time I was scolded by the matron like a child) You are treated like you are in the way the whole time and that they are doing you a favour by letting you stay by your child. Inadequate facilities for mothers to bath/shower. No availability of comfortable places to breastfeed your child and general lack of facilities to make the stay less traumatic for mothers. This type of medical care is outdated and not beneficial to children being in a nurturing environment. This is the general feel amongst parents at the institution. We treat our mothers better in the state sector.
