My younger sister had been suffering constant headaches, dizziness and heart pulpitation throughout month of August she had been to 2 clinics; visited twice the same local doctor; and eventually opted to go to Parkland Springs twice in a one week apart of August, which all drained her Bonitas funds but would be turned away with just prescriptions and a day's letter of absence from work. On her second visit to Life Hospital, 23 August she had no funds whatsoever, hoping for admission since she was back the 2nd time in a space of a week same condition suffering with no recovery, she paid cash for the same tired service, triage waiting time beyond 2 hours. We arrived at the hospital just before it was 16:00 PM and left eventually by 12:00 AM. Not so kind nurse at the casualty rudely showed us the waiting area when we enquired of my sister, while she'd been in a drip there over 4 hours. Well, they missed the condition she was suffering from: thyroid, iron deficiency and sinuses. She was glad to be admitted in Glenwood a week later and got treated as in-patient. It's all in the past now.
