Old beds/ overall management and maintenance of the unit

I’ve been on dialysis for over a decade so trust me when I say some units treat patients like sick brainless people who must take whatever treatment because we are the sick ones, we are the ones that need treatment not them. So over the years I’ve learned that imina engincengile dialysis treatment ngoba imina engigulayo and succumbed to all sorts of ill treatment from dialysis staff. I have been in Life dialysis clinic for 16 months, it’s situated inside Netcare Richards Bay. Management of the unit is bad state, overall management of the unit is terrible. There’s shortage of staff but management rarely intervenes if at all. Staff are resigning from this unit, what makes me write this review is if Life health lets this staff member go shuthi this unit will close down because he goes above and beyond to make sure the unit runs smoothly! Furthermore there’s issues of old beds that don’t recline, we as patients are now fighting for beds because management has no intention nor interest to get rid or repair old beds. Just this Thursday a patient put on non reclining beds blood pressure dropped and thus complicated further because they couldn’t recline the bed to assist in normalising the Bp. Another issue is the food, the contract that life health has with Netcare The Bay is not working for us, they don’t provide toasted sandwiches, I had chicken bones in my sandwich because they were out of stock. Coming to dialysis now gives me anxiety if I would find the right bed, how’s the food today, is the staff resigning. Pls help!
