Nurses neglecting a patient and an urgent request

My name is Anita Mtshali and I was admitted at Westville Hospital on the 8th of December 2015. Its disappointing to see how the standard has dropped at this hospital. When I'm in hospital I usually have my drips put in on my arms, not on the back of my hand cause I swell up and suffer from pain. Today on the 11th of December the sister that put in my drip didn't listen to me when I told her not to put it there because I know what happens when I do. The worst part is she put it just above the bone on my wrist and the needle kept touching against the bone which made the pain unbearable. When I told the nurses about it I was told to wait until the bottle of medicine was finished then I could have it out. What confuses me is, isn't the nurse or doctor supposed to hear from the patient and how they feel, instead I was ignored & my wrist got swollen.When the drip was finished I called in one of the night shift nurses that had just come in to take the drip out for me since I was in pain. She told me to wait until the handover was finished then she'd come so I waited and waited.During visiting hours I got my mom to help me take out the drip because nobody was willing to assist me.
