No notification of money owed --- Straight to Debt Collectors

Went to casualty for my 5th kidney stone, I'm not new to this dance so I knew what to expect, but thank goodness when I went to the bathroom in casualty I passed the stone, first one I've ever passed. So all was good and well and I went home.

Seven months later I am handed over to Debt Collectors... not one email or phone call from Life Healthcare themselves. This can ***** one's credit record and is extremely unprofessional.
