Misleading Information/Claim

<p>I recently had visited Life Carstenhof Hospital Emergency Unit and upon my visit to the hospital I had called and confirmed if the hospital accepted my medical aid and confirmed that my account will be paid in full. I then visited the hospital that afternoon and one of the gentleman over the counter at the emergency unit had told me that there is R150 co-payment strange enough, despite the info provided earlier, I paid the co-payment and then went on to filling in a patient form. I now recieve a bill stating that medical aid has not paid the bill due to limits exceeded. I then contact medical aid and they say that the doctor (Drs Holt and Partners) are not on the network hence the claim being rejected. Why wasnt this explained to me before I visited the unit and secondly one would think that the emergency unit would be paid in full up to scheme rates seeing that the hospital is part of the network. I am not prepared to pay this amount as I was mislead by the Hospital. Had the gentleman over the counter knew that my medical aid would not cover as they were not on the network he would have told me if he had the knowledge and I would have walked away or made the decision to pay there and then, </p>
