Medical Misconduct at Life Anncron Klerksdorp

<p>My son (Lunielle Kruger) was admitted to Life Anncron Klerksdorp in Ward B on 05-06/06/2017. He underwent an operation at 09h30 on the Monday the 5th , He were receiving a hot dog bun with lettuce and two halves of tomato and three rings of carrots for lunch and nothing to drink. This is too little food for a grown man of 121kg and 198m tall, for supper he got two pies and a few chips. On the Tuesday Morning he did not received any food at all, on asking why he is not getting any food he were informed that the staff gave an instruction to withheld the food for bed 3 & 4. On requesting who gave this instruction he was told that they cannot give him the name of the person that gave the instruction to the kitchen to withheld the food. This type of behaviour is totally unacceptable as our medical fund is paying a lot in regards to hospital stay. I am really disappointed in the way the patient was treated. Due to this the Ward staff was very un-friendly and tends to ignore and delay the patient’s pain medication on request!</p> <p>On request to see the Matron my son were informed that neither Mev Kotze nor Gregory is available to address the concern.</p> <p>I would do my best to avoid Life Anncron and rather opted to go to Wilmed instead. In the light of this I insist that this incident get investigated and an official apology made by the Administrators to the patient in question.</p> <p> </p>
