Life Vincent Palloti -Eye opener for everyone
I am gutted at the service you recieve as a patient in this 1 particular unit. Then again ,if the nurses have such bad attitudes how can I blame them when you have 1 particular night personnel who represents management who is unprofessional in her behaviour in front of a patient? It is sad that the reputation of Lifehealthcare as a whole is reflected in such a poor manner. The nursing care is questionable for those nurses who don’t ‘care’ When questions are asked people are shut off apparently because families are no longer allowed to be their family members advocate. Patients call for assistance and the buzzer goes on for such long periods that you can hear patients call out ‘nurse’ Some come in and turn the buzzer off and walk out even if a relative is present. A sad state of poor nursing care to people who are paying for their care. The care is not for free but you are treated like it is for free. Nursing staff lack the the basics in nursing which is care and compassion.
People find it pointless to complain as when you do you are treated like you have committed a crime by asking or questioning anything. So why would patients and their families complain to higher management? As it is depicted by the staff that this is the new acceptable behaviour and you are welcome to complain but nothing will get done. A few good nurses out of the batch that I can name them on the top of my hand. Majority of the catering staff should be nurses as they actually care and have compassion.
This unit gives Life Health Care to be seen in a very negative light. What happened to care and compassion? What happened to service with a smile? You must remember patients and their families go through a difficult time whilst their loved 1 is in hospital and to have nurses and senior management of staff make it worse speaks volumes about their care and how unempathethic they are.
