Life Faerie Glen Hospital uses unroadworthy golf carts on a public road

The Life Faerie Glen Hospital with its entrance in Sprokie Avenue is using golf carts to transport visitors to and from the hospital.

The parking bays in Sprokie Avenue have specifically been designed with widened paving for the golf carts to drive on.

The drivers of the golf carts insist on driving on the road obstructing the free flow of traffic for other road users of Sprokie Avenue.

The road is neither private property, nor does it belong to the Life Faerie Glen Hospital.

The issue had been raised with the Facilities Manager a few times and then after a while the golf cart drivers revert back to their ******* use of a public road.

It has happened as recently as today, 22 February 2024 at about 10:00.

The golf carts do not have number plates, they do not have licence discs on the wind screens and some of the drivers of the golf carts do not even have valid driver's licences.

As a user of the public road, I object to the Life Faerie Glen Hospital treating the road as if it is the private property of the facility.

While other public users of Sprokie Avenue have no desire to have an acrimonious relationship with a health facility, friendly neighbourly requests are simply ignored by the facility.

In my opinion, it is irresponsible of the Facilities Manager for allowing this ******* practice to continue.
