Life Eugene Marais Hospital

I had 2 brain operations at Eugene Marais Hospital. No Quote was given to me before the operations and the extra cost was not discussed with me or my medical aid. I was supposed to be admitted on the 12rh of Nov for urgent cancer treatment but was refused due to the outstanding balance with no signed permittiongrom me our my family. Why where we not informed about the possibility of the high cost as it will go over my cover as per the guidelines oof my medical ais? Once again no quotation nor discussion pertaining to this. I find this totally unexceptable and find that Eugene Marais hospital did not follow the correct procedure in this. I'm would never agreed to this high amounts and would of demanded an alternative. Im on medical disability and onle receive a monthly Sassa contribution and can not afford the R60000 that they are demanding from me. After their refusal I was admitted to Unitas hospital who had the courtesy to discuss my treatment funding and short fall with me. NOW THAT IS THE CORRECT PROCEDURE. EUGENE MARAIS HAS VERY POOR COMMUNICATION AND CLIENT SERVICE AND WILL NOT HAVE THE PREVILLAGE IN TREATING ME AGAIN. I WILL ALSO REFER MY CASE TO THE OMBUDS MAN FOR FURTHER ACTION AS THEY HAVE TARNISHED MY NAME BY HANDING OVER THE OUTSTANDING SO CALLED AMOUNT TO LAWYERS BUT NOT SUPPLYING ANY SIGNED QUOTAS NOR DISCUSSION PER TANING THIS FOR APPROVAL OR ALTERNATIVES.
