Life carstenhof Staff stole my wife's phone

My wife went in for an operation on the 20th September 2017. Juts before going in to theater she switched off her phone and put it in the cupboard next to her hospital bed. After waking up hours later post op she could not find her cellphone. The nurses said they would try finding at but still no luck and we have not heard from the hospital since whe was discharged. What type of private hospital has staff who ***** patient's goods while they are in surgery. We want our phone back or it should be replaced!
