LACK OF COMMUNICATION AT FOURWAYS LIFE HOSPITAL

My husband spent 10 weeks in the ICU unit at 4-ways Life hospital last year. He has now been in the ICU unit for 4 weeks again. My problem is not with the quality of care given but the absolute lack of communication from the doctors. My husband is hard of hearing and also very confused right now. I cannot find out what is happening with him, what treatment he is on and what is his prognosis. It's almost as if he has been handed over to the medical staff and they do whatever they wish without any consultation with me. If I leave a message with the nursing staff for the doctor to phone me, it is rarely a request that is honored. Phoning the ICU unit is also problematic as I am quite often left "hanging". I am really disappointed with the lack of feedback and not knowing why my husband's recovery is so very slow.
