If You Wanna Die - Go To Entabeni Hospital

On Friday the 27/03/2015 my tennage son was stabbed by a black man in a smash and grab. His injury of an open wound was on the left palm of his hand. He was bleeding profusedly and due to the loss of blood was going to loose consciousness when he was taken to this hospital to be attended to. Unfortunately he was not on medical aid and he hand to pay up front an amoutn of R1500.00 before being attended. All they did was feed him drips and wrap a bandage around the palm of his hand. This did not stop the bleeding however cause the wound was still open. They gave us quote for R20548.00 just for admission and receive further treatment. He had to pay about R1000.00 more for xray and blood test. Treatment was so terrible here. No compassion from these people. Asked to arrange a public hospital and 1st they said Kind Edward and then Addington. We had to take my son to Addington so that he can be examined further and given stiches to stop the bleeding. 28th he had an operation at Wentworth Hospital done. <br> The atttiudes of the staff, nurses and even the doctor at Entabeni sucks. If you are not on medical aid or be a rich person - Entabeni would think twice about treating you. Sucks
