Horrible Birth Experience

Had the worst birthing experience as a first time mother - Roseacres Life healthcare Maternity nurses have got to be the worst nurses I’ve across my entire life. Namely Sr Dlamini who first of all administered an injection that is supposed to be diluted - she injected me without diluting it - leaving me bruised and my arm partially paralysed with spasms at intervals.

Being told that I will be moved from Ward 8 to 6 and the Staff Nurse wearing blue and white I forgot her name but she was chubby - she moved me like she’s moving garbage - putting all my bags including a 11KG suitcase on me - A DAY AFTER A C SECTION 😭… as if that was worse She then took my WET Cold face cloth and put it in right on top of my newborn babys feet as she wanted to make 1 trip apparently… mind you the rooms are just opposite each other there was no reason for me to carry all bags ON MY bed as she wheeled me to another ward.

Back to Sr Dlamini whom I asked for Pain tablets as it was my time to receive them - instead of serving them with a cup to drink water she just pulled out a tray out of what seemed to be her side pocket she just gave it to me and my Sister who was there to visit me had to make means to find a cup for me to drink the Pain tablet. Sr Dlamini hated when I rang the call bell it was as if I’m BOTHERING her, she and the chubby one would come to me whilst on their phones , when I tell them to please take my child to the nursery Sr Dlamini asked me “what if she cries for you” I mean REALLY? I’m not a nurse but damn I would not ask a mother who just had c section and needs to rest , that kind of question I couldn’t wait for The night nurses to come specifically Sandra, Mpumi & Zama they are the BEST they cared for me , understood that I am in pain and most of all very friendly.

Morning /Afternoon Nurses Sr Dlamini and the other chubby one are the worst nurses I’ve ever come across I am in disbelief that those are the kind of people expected to care for the sickly - I was even scared to have them take my child , they even made me wash myself knowing very well I am fresh out of a C section, I washed myself as they watched.

I really hope you can look into this because as we speak my right arm is not fully operational because of that injection that was administered wrongfully and my sister who is a Midwife can confirm it, she too is disgusted because she used to work at Roseacres as the Night Super her name is Sr Linda Zigode. Also please note I am willing to take legal action against The Hospital and Sr Dlamini should my arm continue not operate or until something is done. I paid a total of R35138 just to be treated like a piece of garbage. I am utterly disappointed & I feel and believe I deserved to be treated better and fairly. I hope your those 2 afternoon nurses Sr Dlamini and the chubby one are called into order because their behaviour is absolutely disgusting.
