Glynnwood Life Hospital Benoni

The service i received was the worst surely if I went to a public hospital it was going to better. I took my 8 months daughter to Glynnwood Life Hospital in Benoni on Monday the 29th of June via Casulty we got there at 17:20 to be exact and at 18:00 we were admitted we sat at the Casulty rooms for 5 hours waiting for bed and the sister busy lying to me saying they are still cleaning the room only to find out when we got to the room(Peads ward) that they were short staffed it was only two people working and the sister also told me that she told them that they should have not admitted you from the start. Tuesday my daughter tested positive for Covid and we were told they will move us to another ward they then took us to General ward and gave us a small room which they put my babies cot and a bed for me there was no place to move around at all ,the general ward didn’t have the jug for hot water for my daughters bottle luckily I had bought my own flask ,the room was so cold it had a door to go outside and that door was making the room so cold cause there was cold air coming through and there was curtain on that door so the people on the ward opposite me could see us .I asked them to please increase the aircon atleast but it was only taking out cold air and no heater was provided for us instead I was told that “we also wear enough clothes cause it’s cold”.The room they gave us had a shower I don’t know if they wanted my “8 Months”. baby to take bath using the shower or what?? The nurses was asking me now to do their job like giving baby medicine .When i got to the hospital I was told that no food was allowed to come and that I could only eat food they provided at R20 per meal they gave me the food on Tuesday on Wednesday I was not offered any food until I was discharged at 16:00 I was starving, the cooking staff was on my neck that I had to go pay when I went there was a que at reception and i had left my baby alone so I couldn’t wait that was before my baby results came back after they did I couldn’t go out of my room until I got my results so i couldn’t go out but they were still on my neck that I had to go pay.When we got discharged I went to pay the receptionist was so rude and there was a book she was looking for to write me slip for almost 15 minutes wasting my time .Lancet also took my tests on Tuesday at but results took so long we were discharged in the morning by our doctor but we had to wait for the results but we still left Wednesday at 16:00 without the results.
