Full of promises

I was admitted in Bedford Life hospital in Dec 2021 for covid. The hospital and dr's gave me medication that was not approved by my medical aid. I survived Covid but I have an outstanding amount of R17 000 for the medication that was not approved. How can a patient that is on machines know what is covered by the medical aid. At that stage I was'nt even aware of were I was most of the time. I am now handed over for the account. I think it is the hospitals responsibility to find an alternative medication If they know that the medicine is not covered by the medical aid. I have been trying to solve this matter with no luck.
