FLORA CLINIC, **** hole of a hospital.

The worst hospital I have ever been in. From Admission to being discharged was the worst experience any patient could endue. On top of that, the cusomer service one gets from Flora Clinic is even worst. The nursing staff and not ALL of them, are rude, crude and just down right pathetic towards some paitents. I was admitted last year August for an operation, from the casuality section the staff was very professional with understanding and kindness, BUT their were those that treated some patients with racial tension. Once I was admitted from casuality, then the **** hit the fan. The nursing staff incharge of the day shift and night shift, messed up my records, having me DISCHARGED when I was still in hospital. The day I eventually got discharged having been hospiatlized 3 weeks, I went to follow through on my account. Having been told telephonically by my wonderful medical aid, Discovery, not to worry as I did not have to make any co-payments prior my operation. Yeah right, more bull**** stories and pathetic customer service from both parties. Since my discharge last year, and having approached the hospaital and 6 different case workers, and NO ONE GETTING BACK TO YOU without even a courtesy call having lefts numerous messages, making numerous call trying to make sure all was good. SURPRISE SURPRISE. After almost an entire year, I get a call from Blake Collections representing the hospital instructing me that I have an outstanding hospital bill. Not the hospital or Discovery, but debt collectors!!! First I was told that the outstanding bill was for the day I was admitted via casuality that my wonderful medical would not pay for. Remember, on the authorisation of my operation I was informed that NO CO-PAYMENT was required and that everything was good. I approached Flora Clinic again for the seventh time in 12 months since my operation to enquire and query this outstanding bill. The case worker said that she will investigate and will inform me of what the outstanding bill was for. Still to this day, Flora Clinic has not made contact with yet again. Then Blake Collections Dept. calls me to advise that the outstanding bill was for actually the day I was in ICU. My arguement here is that the standard code of ethics regarding a medical facility is to provide help, support, assistance with diligence and to show understand to human beings in need of medical help, but CUSTOMER SERVICE is of high standards. Where are these people humanitarian dignity, DOWN THE **** HOLE. Sorry but Flora Clinic, with the likes of Discovery and other medical aid institutes, you can take peoples money on a monthly basis, but when in need for the client to now use the support that they pay for, gets thrown and rubbed in their faces because doctors want to use patients like a Russian Rolette machine. Absolutely SAD. Worst than our so called government.
