Eugene Marais Hospital services.

I was admitted to Eugene Marais Hospital on 4th February 2023 with a freak accident under the medical aid GEMS PMB rules. I stayed in hospital for 14 days where I had various operations to repair my achillies tendon. On that time all expenses will be paid by my medical fund. I then received a message that I owe the hospital R15000+. I never received a reason from hospital or GEMS for what the amount is. Now after 19 months I received a very ***** letter from a attorney in Durban that I am liable for the payment of the amount. I as a 72 year old pensioner can't pay any amount. I did send email's to GEMS and hospital for an explanation of why I owe such a huge amount, but needless to say without any reaction. I am really very stressed about the whole situation. Thank you.
