Dying is better than ‘Life’ Wilgers Hospital

In December I went in for an emergency to Life Wilgers Hospital. After they left me waiting for 2 hours (while the sweat was dripping from my forehead onto the ground) they eventually helped me. My blood pressure was measured to be around 220 and still they had me waited for another 30 minutes before helping me. This was already in the late afternoon and I stayed over for the night where several tests were conducted to find out what was wrong. The next day after waiting the whole morning for a Dr. I basically forced them to release me around 12 as they could not figure out what was wrong.

I was informed that I owe them R5100 where upon I asked for an invoice. I never received the invoice and I never made the payment. Now its been handed over for debt collection. Angrily I asked what happened to the invoice I requested where upon I was informed that I never asked for one and they were never contacted. Since when do you just tell someone…..hey you owe this much, pay it up? Why didn’t you just ask a million while you busy with it!! I finally got an invoice stating I stayed there for 1.5 days. Which idiots’ watch does not work? What time was I admitted to Hospital and what time was I released?

Basically what you are telling me is that you almost let me die in the casualty ward while waiting, then you took looooooots of test which were inconclusive surmounting to around R3500 for Dr.s’ bills, then bill me for 1.5 x days in hospital.

$^#$& sakes, I think I should open a hospital. A few hours, no results and R 8500 later.
