Double Billing

The non response from Life Healthcare and Life Brenthurst is really shocking. Sent emails on the 27/02/2024 to both Life companies and none has responded a week later.

I have a query regarding my stay at Brenthurst hospital for the dates 11/02/2024 to 15/02/2024.

My medical was billed for an amount of R7350 which I have already made an EFT payment on the 13/02/2024.

On the morning of the 13/02/2024 there was a lady from the hospital if not mistaken her name is Pragna Patel to advice that there is a co-payment of R7350 and I advised her that I don’t have that sum of money and she should ask Dr Motuba a way forward.

She came back about an hour later to advice that the hospital has granted me with a fifty percent discount which must be payable before the procedure which I made the payment the same day.

To my surprise on the 26/02/2024 on receiving a statement from Discovery I see that the hospital has billed the R7350 which I have already paid being claimed AGAIN.

Can I kindly as that the R7350 be reversed to discovery as a discount was given and the payment was already being made to the hospital as agreed verbally.
