Disgusting service! Felt like a Government hospital.

We rushed to the ER at Westville Hospital as my 1 year old daughter sustained a head injury from a fall at 19:30 at night 10/01/26

I drop my wife at the door to save time, I go park the car and sort out the bags and when I get back to the ER to find her she is still standing by the receptionist.

He was in no rush, sitting all slanted on the chair with no urgency and never once made Eye contact and mumbled under his voice, with no care.

We did not get immediate care and were told to sit and wait. I was shocked and asked is this the ER, we need help right now. He said ummm ok go through that door and see who you can find. We go into the ER rooms section where there is nobody to help. Eventually after calling for assistance a nurse says you must wait in front we are full, and the waiting time is between 30-60minutes. I felt like we were in a Government hospital it was disgusting service. I started to make a lot of noise and explained my daughter has a head injury she needs medical attention immediately, they ask her symptoms while we standing in a passage was of which we explained she has thrown up, brussed face, bleeding nose, and fell asleep/passed out soon after the incident. They say ok go to this room, after standing in that room for 10minutes I said to my wife let’s go these people don’t care, we don’t know how much longer we will wait, and we now won’t trust the doctor as this hospital clearly doesn’t care. We rushed to Busa Med hospital in Hillcrest and got instant help the minute we went through the ER, nurses rushed to us grabbed my wife and daughter and started checking her(now that is an ER).

We will never support/use Westville ER ever again.

To add to this a family there left at the same time as us, as there son had a broken nose and after 1 hours they had not been seen to and also left to a different hospital. There was also a lady in a wheel chair sitting and vomiting on her lap for over 20/30minutes in the ER reception with no body coming to help her or put her in a drip etc.

If your life is in danger go somewhere else, you won’t get the help you need in time.
