Disgusting service delivered

<p>Last night, we took our ill dad to the Bedford Gardens hospital. We were requested to an amount of +/-R19 000 upfront, while we were waiting for someone to bring us that cash, we were told that our dad was suddenly extremely critical and needed to be taken to ICU which required +/- R62 000. We offered to pay via cheque, we were told that is not allowed so we then asked that they book him into ICU with the R19 000 while we waiting for additional cash to be delivered to us at the hospital. While waiting a Dr Nicola Janse Van Rensberg called my cousin aside and asked her why we were still waiting because the ICU bed was suddenly unavailable, we tried explaining to her the initial agreement but she wouldn't listen. She then told us to take our money and ill dad, and go and find a hospital plus a Dr that will attend to us, she told us to go to the hospital in Germiston. We therefore asked her to make the necessary arrangements of referral with that hospital and she refused, telling us that it isn't their job. I really fail to understand who is meant to make these arrangements. This rude and impatient Dr was simply undermining us.</p> <p>To cut a long story short, we eventually got someone to call the Dr who had initially treated my dad and that Dr was actually the one who helped us to get some proper help. This Dr told them to admit our dad into a normal ward where he would spend the night.</p> <p>I'm really disgusted by Dr Van Rensberg's lack of professionalism!!!!!!!!!!!</p> <p> </p>
