Disappointed with chatsmed

So I experienced chest pains went to life hospital Chatsmed, at the receptionist she checked my medical aid, 700 was left in savings, that wasn't enough to see the doctor. I needed 2000 in cash.i then left. I wasn't given option of paying later, or my gap cover would have assisted. I did get help somewhere else. Just want to know the hospital policy with regards to patient treatment in an emergency. Do you turn away pts in an emergency without giving them options. Does life not matter.
